HG leather paint kit for seats produces a completely new leather settee or chair in 4 steps. With the new paint technology it becomes child's play to give leather chairs and settees a new lease of life. The suppleness and the appearance of the leather cannot be distinguished from new.

This product bonds extremely well and is extremely strong, making it resistant against dirt, stains and damage. Even if the layer of dye becomes damaged, this can easily be resolved. This product is easy to repair without showing the overlap.

HG leather paint kit for seats is available in 6 colours: black, cognac brown, dark brown, burgundy red, dark blue and off-white. For repairing damage to the leather, tears, holes, scratches and other unevenness, we recommend HG leather repairer for seats.

Contents of the leather paint kit:

  • HG leather paint (500 ml.)
  • HG leather paint primer (200 ml.)
  • Tray
  • Brush
  • Roller holder with an acrylate roller and foam roller

Usage: maximum 3m² per 100 ml. per layer.

Step 1

First clean the leather furniture with methylated spirits. Use a clean cloth, rubbing with circular movements.

Step 2

Apply HG leather paint primer to the leather with the supplied foam roller and a paint tray. Applying 1 coat is enough and this HG leather paint primer is sufficient for a two-seater settee. After these two steps you start applying the HG leather paint. Shake well before use. Remove cushions where possible and treat these separately. Keep cushions that cannot be removed in a different position, with tape or rope, to ensure that you can dye the back of the cushions and under the cushions. Divide your leather furniture into squares where possible, and complete steps 3 and 4 per square or cushion.

Step 3

Pour HG leather paint in the supplied paint tray and treat all parts that are hard to reach with a paint roller, such as seams, stitching and buttons. Use the supplied brush.

Step 4

Use the supplied acrylic paint roller to apply a thin and even layer of HG leather paint to the leather. Roll in one direction first and then into the direction at right angles to this to spread the dye evenly. After approximately 2 hours, it will be dry and the second coat can be applied.
